Sunday 27th September saw both Adderbury Morris teams out in force for the unveiling ceremony of a blue plaque to commemorate the work of Janet Heatley Blunt as a collector of local traditonal music song and particularly the Adderbury Morris traditon.  There was a terrific turn out of both locals and a series of invited guests: Malcolm Taylor OBE, Librarian of the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library was there to unveil the plaque. We also heard from Bryan Sheppard (read all about it here) one of the two founders of the revival morris , Edd Frost squire of Adderbury Village Morris Men and Dr Kate Tiller deputy lieutenant and chairperson of the Oxfordshire Blue Plaque board. Brian Tasker, Squire of the Morris Ring and Trefor Owen, President of the Morris Federation were also in attendance.

Before the speech making both teams danced turn and turn about including in the programme two back to back performances of Sweet Jenny Jones - just to show how different we are. later on there was tea and more importantly Hook Norton available in the garden and we danced the latest addition to our repertoire: Le Halle Place and finished off with a mass Shepherds Away,
